You once wrote a post about & even emailed me about someone else who enjoyed reading my posts. Though the majority of my posts are news articles, they serve a purpose: to show people in the community who read your forum the alternative news articles that are out there. Other people post news articles as well besides me, Alex, & Andreas: Stella, Jeff, Tiglath, & Melody. Furthermore, I (& Alex & Andreas) also contribute my (& their) ideas along with these articles or as posts by themselves. In fact, both Alex & Andreas have brought quite a number of web news resources to our attention, & I am thankful for their contributions. As far as I'm concerned: I can not post these articles eslewhere for the Assyrian community to read, as I am still banned from AINA (for posting such articles), & the news articles I post are selectively deleted at the other forums.

However, you seem to want this forum as your soap box so that you can continue to bash anyone you want to in the community. So be it. Everyone here has an idea of alternative news sources now, so it isn't necessary for me to contribute to the forum or to be even this involved in the community anymore. Therefore, I take leave of the community gladly.

You know, farid, back when you were upset about the things happening to you in Mexico, I wrote an email to Rep. Eshoo on your behalf. I explained the situation as best I could & requested that she contact you for further details. Also, I have repeatedly asserted that you, as an artist, are an asset to the Assyrian community. Therefore, you can not say that I have not been a friend to you, even though you have restorted to such ugliness toward me.

As far as Jeff is concerned: I helped out his brother at his request a few times. I like Jimmy a lot, have had some wonderful conversations with him, & openly acknowledge that he is an *incredibly* talented song writer. My sister thinks likewise. If anyone should succeed in the music industry, it should be him. I'm glad that you, farid, are finally mentioning Jimmy Atto on your forum. It should have happened a long time ago. You could even link your website to his. Interestingly, I remember that when I sang Jimmy's praises on your old forum, instead of taking what I wrote about him at face value, you tried to suggest that I was after the guy (romantically). You have suggested that whenever I respond to anyone on this forum who is of the opposite sex numerous times, & I have tolerated it until this point.

This forum could be used for so much good - to promote those in the community who deserve it, who are talented - instead of for so much bad - to publicly smear those people you don't like, for whatever reason. Face it, farid, you can not control everyone you don't like or do like, for that matter. & insulting people publicly just makes you look even more dirty, more vulgar. Whatever it is that other people do for the community, no matter how small, should be cherished. If you have a suggestion for how someone else should be acting, perhaps you should use different tactics (than slash & burn) to convince them to change?
