1. SpyBot - Search & destroy

4. Microsoft Update

5. Virus Software - McAfee, Norton, Symatec, etc.

Both SpyBot & Adware are designed to remove software that was either downloaded accidentally or forcefully. These annoying software track your internet usage for common shopping sites, etc. and uses this data to pop ads depending on which type of a shopper you are. Also, porn sites as well as other "black market" sites penetrait your computers weak defense and eventually will suck the life out of it.

Microsoft Update. Keeping your operating system updated is a good way to keep unwated things out. The upgrades are ususally very effective and will help keep your pc healthy.

I definetely recommend downloading all the software listed above using them once a month and also keeping them up-to-date.
