[Editorial Note: I wonder why they aren't responding?] ******************************************************************* Assyrian Forum Re: David Chibo: Unsubstantiated Figures, Again Posted By: Jeff Atto <jeff@attoz.com> (d14-69-182-56.try.wideopenwest.com) Date: Saturday, 21 February 2004, at 2:07 p.m. In Response To: Re: David Chibo: Unsubstantiated Figures, Again (Fred Aprim) : Couple years back, David Chibo (aka Tiglath : Chibo), Fred Parhad (aka pancho, panch, : etc.), Tony BeitMalo (aka Assyrian Quaggy, : Abat-Assur-La-Tenni, etc.), *** Dear Mr. Aprim, David, Fred, and Tony never hid their identity from others. By listing these "internet aliases", you seem to be implying that these people have something to hide, which they do not. Tiglath has explained that David is his given (slave) name, Tony has several times revealed his identity when people have asked him, as has Farid. ****more below*** and few others : were against the embargo and later the war : that was set to punish and remove that thug : Saddam Hussein. **** I must also point out that millions of people around the world were against the embargo. The UN and several NGOs did research which showed that in fact the embargo made the Hussein regime stronger while crippling and killing average (innocent) Iraqis, to the tune of at least 5000 Iraqi children a month. Are Assyrians in Iraq somehow exempt from the poor living and poor hospital conditions that were created as a direct result of the sanctions? Of course not. Water treatment facilities lacked parts because they were on the "dual use" list, as well as many needed hospital equipment items. Assyrians in Iraq drink water and go to the hospital, and they are an integral part of Iraqi society, so it is ridiculous to claim that the sanctions did not hurt them. *** more below *** Some two years ago, David : Chibo came up with another ridiculous : statistic that some 50 Assyrians were dying : EVERY DAY because of the embargo, some : really silly claims that totalled thousands : upon thousands of Assyrian being dead!! *** This isn't ridiculous. It's a logical deduction based on math and verified UN figures. Logical deduction works something like this: If A=B and B=C, Therefore A=C. ***more below*** : Today, we know that some Assyrians have been : killed because of this unfortunate war and : their names he has mentioned in his post. *** Many more Assyrians were killed than he had mentioned. Again, are Assyrians in Iraq somehow exempt from bombshells dropping and bullets flying? Are they somehow not affected by the ravages of war? Of course this is a low figure. *** more below*** : However, he uses the same statistical : nonesense he used during the embargo and : claims that 500 Assyrians have been killed : when he really does NOT know that. There is : not ONE single source that backs such : fabricated figure, neither from our churches : nor from any of our political groups. **** Please prove your statement. Tiglath used UN figured that the world accepted, as well as figures about our population as a percentage of the whole population of Iraq. *** more below *** : Assyrians live in Iraq and some will die in : this unfortunate war that was necessary to : remove the tyranny of the Ba'ath regime. : This might sound cruel to say but that is : the reality. Millions of Iraqis have died or : forced into exile by the Ba'ath regime. One : wonders, where were David Chibo and company : then? *** As I recall, he and several others from Australia were in Iraq themselves helping our people in the North. Where were you, Mr. Aprim? Tiglath is a devoted member of our community and your insinuations are misguided and completely baseless. Tiglath was not defending the human rights record of the Ba'ath regime. *** more below *** Where were their statistics? The : Americans are in Iraq for many reasons (we : all know that); however, none of those : reasons is to oppress Iraqis or Assyrians : intentionally. On the contrary, their : presence will benefit all Iraqis who will : have better tomorrow. *** Sounds like debateable propaganda to me. Look at the plight of women in Afghanistan and tell me if they are better off than they were before this unending war on terror started. *** more below *** : So David Chibo and company, please stop these : unsubstantiated claims. : Fred -- Jeff ************************************************************************ Assyrian Forum Re: 'Qaddishuta', 'The Assyrian Haji!' Posted By: Jeff <jeff@attoz.com> (d14-69-182-56.try.wideopenwest.com) Date: Sunday, 22 February 2004, at 5:23 p.m. In Response To: Re: 'Qaddishuta', 'The Assyrian Haji!' (Bismark XIII) Dear Anonymous Brave Worrier, ... : birds on a feather : the same jeff that was so anti removal of : saddam *** Fool. Obviously you can't read nor write. Anti-sanctions which kill 5000 children a month does not equate to Anti-Saddam. Read my little response to Fred Aprim a bit lower down the forum for an introduction to logical deduction... *** and anti west states that he enjoys : reading kako's posts; what a surprise. *** Where do you come up with this stuff? I couldn't pay you to sound more strange. *** : Mark **** OOhh. Bismark is Mark? Or just another anonymouse pseudonym? Afraid momma's going to find out you are using the internet without her permission? **** : thoughts? more like a rant of an insane and : useless "thinker or should I say : tinker" : manifesto after manifesto and still no one is : giving a damn about ivan the Czar : must be pretty frustrating for such a great : mind to be so easily dismissed by the masses : that truly need him. :-)))) *** At least he uses COHERENT SENTENCES and relatively understandable grammar (which is more than I can say for brave worriers like yourself)... oh...I mean warriors. What was your name? GOOD NIGHT! *** --------------------- |
