+++I disagree with the "minority" part. I think the Evangelical Movement Andy wants to distance himself from is a direct outgrowth and logical extension of these sorts of "teachings" for the last 1000 years at least. Besides which a minority should be measured by its impact...not just its numbers. They may be a minority in one sense...but what counts is how much pressure they bring to bear on the institutions standing between us and an Islamic Holocaust next. These people aren't fooling around. They starve children to death...and THEY are as convinced that they got it right as Andy is that only he did. They're cut from the same cloth.

+++Polytheism makes you human...gives you a sense of humor and encourages tolerance because at the outset you're already addmitting there are several gods..so what's ten thousand more or less. When it HAS to be only one...and that one HAS to be yours...the very existence of the idea, even, that there is another "only god" makes you intolerant and then murderous. Of COURSE you keep a few Andys around dressed in short skirts twirling Pom Poms for the crowd. But it's a recipe for murder...as any reading of the history of these people will show. First time the Jews had the chance...had a country even and right after they's been cooked and eaten by Christians..what did they do? Turn right around and cook and eat people...when if anything they should have learned about the rights of a despised people.
