that`s certainly likely...or he`s cringing there after having had his family wiped out for believing in wrong gods...stubbornly. And maybe he has one child left he`d like to save...since massackering people and infants was never their way...and he`s reeling from the shock...and this padre holds out "hope"...hope that the Christians won`t kill his last child and him too.
