Dear Jeff, I guess this is the point I was trying to make in my above post to Tiglath. Why are we wasting so much energy with the Chaldean/ Assyrian name/flag question that with real issues destroying our communities worldwide? Has self-loathing become so instrinsic to our national psyche that it has become 'easier' to fight the 'enemies within' than those without? I think the answer to the whole Muslim hate thing is simply because for many peoples (especially indigenous and uprooted ones) we need an 'other' to define ourselves. But what is our excuse now? Is Chaldean the new 'other'? What is going on? Shlameh, The Empress xoxoxox --------------------- |
