I can't bear to read about "Urinate Christians"...but I love the part about our one major peculiarity being that we fuck each other up...jealousy and envy he calls it...to be nice.

And I beg to differ about the ruthless empire business...I want some actual facts. We overlook everything of blood and guts in the bible to emphasize whatever can be founfd that might not affront the most basic sensibillities...yet with the Assyrians we overlook all the evidence staring us in the face of what a refined people they were and instead go hunting up every chance to make some conjecture...based on what I don't know, about how ruthless and bloody they were.

King(?) David got 200 Philistine foreskins for his bride to be...when all he needed was 100 by regular custom...yet who would think to call Dave a cheap bastard for not buying a quarter karat diamond ring and leaving those Philistine pricks alone? Had an Assyrian done such a thing we'd never hear the end of it.

Ashur was a grandson of Noah??? Which makes Noah what? The slave of Utnapishtim? That's a new one.
