Some interesting ideas there. It would seem there are some differences among the assyrians not only about identity but also about how to get things done as well. It seems to me that there will always be differences, and how we handle the various "whats" is more defining of ourselves and a chance to do better every time. I am interested in why so many have thrown out the older knowledge of gods yet also reject the newer way of islam in favor of saying christianity is THE assyrian way. What's wrong with the older knowledge? It may be more appropriate than the judiast way or it's more popular outgrowths, christianity and islam, and may actually be the origin of a lot of the jewish religion? Thanks for an interesting post that has made me ask these questions and more. dib --------------------- |
