Whichever religion we (Assyrians) should have followed I believe is irrelevant. Religion in its purest sense serves only one purpose and that is to appease and intoxicate the masses. In this day and age we as a human race have reached a scientific understanding about mans past and virtue. In certain regards religion has become obsolete. Like an old tool replaced with a new and improved one. Religion (whether Christianity, Islam, etc.) is and has been used to keep people ignorant and apathetic. When people do not have an interest or understanding of what is going on around them. They don’t ask questions. They don’t broaden their horizons. They don’t progress. It is sad to think that a person in this day and age can still feel as perverse and delusional about religion as those unfortunate people in poorer societies. Our culture is dying and our favorite debate is religion. It's as if "someone" has concocted this whole organized religion thing for a reason. Kris --------------------- |
