Fair Play For Turks

Having stumbled upon Feminism...actually getting shoved into it kicking and screaming by my pissed as hell lover...I now know better than to take anything at face value. If something we were told was as basic as sexual roles turns out to be taught and manufactured and imposed behaviors and values on unwitting humans then anything and everything bears closer examination.

I never bought the argument that Turks were inherently bloodthirsty for the same reason I don't buy that argument when applied to our ancestors. Having been the object of discrimination and bad press myself I'm hardly going to turn around and do the same to others...I know how it feels...I know it's based on sloppy reasoning, if any, passionate obscurantism and atrociously inaccurate "facts".

No one has ever disputed that the Ottoman Turks were the only people to ever give all three sisters from hell as equal a treatment as they ever received anywhere. This is well enough attested to by dispassionate observers...not our Priest/authors and Hysterians who are nothing more than propagandists. In was easy for Christians nations...they simply killed and ate all Muslims and all Jews, men, women and children and declared "peace"...except the taste of blood soon turned them against each other and they went right on killing and eating flesh and drinking blood "for Jesus".

The Christian Nazis...and as distasteful as it is to admit, they WERE Catholics...started a war on their own...not once but TWICE...and in only one generation, barely time enough to replace all the dead young men and women they buried in one World War. They went hunting other Christians a second time and once again every Jew they came across they first robbed then worked to death...raped...killed...skinned...pulled the gold teeth out of...cooked and ate. This was the one single true Genocide in our dismal history and it was brought to us courtesy of Jesus Christ and his later day saints. That being a serious mark against this religion of "Love"...we've since then tried to find a Muslim equivalent and the closest anybody has come is the "massacre" of Christians by the Turks during the First World War.

Seeing yet again recently how eager our Christians are to collaborate against their own countrymen and women on behalf of Western Christianty like they'd done when the European Christian nations circled the waters off Turkey's shores...and recalling how America went apeshit after ONE attack and began to unravel, I have a better appreciation for the fear and paranoia that must have seized the Turks. How the hell were they supposed to know which Christian was loyal and which one wasn't? Did Americans bother to ask a man with dark skin if he was a Christian, did it matter anyway...or if he was a "loyal", though dark, American...or was his skin color enough?

How would Americans react to millions of Muslims in their country "only some" of which might be disloyal and actively help several Muslim nations as they massed offshore? No need to guess...you know damn well what we'd do...we did it already to the Japanese...and we're doing it again in Guantanamo.

Speaking of which let's re-visit Akbulut, in the light of this new day in American jurisprudence. Akbulut was accused by those bloodlusting Turks of having broken a law...of having spoken out about events during the First World War in ways that they consider to be the equivalent of "hate speech"...just like you can be arrested in the United States for violating our shifting conceptions of what constitutes hate. And as the Dixie Chicks found out...how people who express views deemed unpopular can be made to suffer...not to forget the students kicked out of school for advocating peace or wearing T shirts with innocuos though "unpopular" comments or even pictures of our own Ayatollah on them. Teachers lost their jobs and a pall descended on every aspect of what used to be this "glorious" Democracy.

Akbulut was arrested and jailed, then bailed out...arraigned and placed on trial. He wisely kept his mouth shut, said basically, "who me"?...and that other stand-by, "They did it"...meaning someone else told him about the atrocities and he merely repeated what he'd heard...had no first hand knowledge himself...which is probaly what the Turks are trying to stop from happening...you know how our priests and hysterians can get themselves wound up...and produce facts by the bucketfull. And he was cleared after receiving a trial several Americans and others being detained in brigs and cages at Guantanamo can't get and would be happy to be transfered to Turkey for.

So they have the trial...Akbulut is allowed a lawyer...something Americans don't get any more as a matter of Law...he was released on bail, could go home, be with his family, continue work, walk arund, go to dinner, dance and screw the night away if he was so inclined...something he couldn't have done in America today had he been hauled into court for the "wrong" sort of crime. there was no military tribunal...no closed courtroom...on the contrary the world beat a path to that trial looking for evidence of genocide or anything else they could turn up. The trial of Akbulut was as open as the ones in America are closed. We've had defense lawyers jailed...we've had people incarcerated without charges or lawyers, no access to the press or family...how did this happen, in this country no less? remember this is the great bastion of Freedom and Democracy with a European Parliamentary tradition...not some Turkey run from a Seraglio by one omnipotent man, where you KNOW what kind of people THEY are and have been! How did it happen? because we're SCARED...we're AFRAID...we've become PARANOID...and mind you no Muslim armada is massing offshore...just a handful of guys who'll turn out one day to have been Mossad anyway...funded by us.

And of course he was cleared of all charges...and will probably not do the dirty work for the Western Christian nations again...the work of villifying Islam to bring it down to the level of Christianity and the really atrocious crimed committed in Christ's name. There's plenty of blood guilt to go around..no need to single anyone out, but so long as Christians behave so outrageously self-righteous, let them get a taste of their own.

Do you suppose we could pause a minute...get out of our preistly nationalist bullshit and just take a look at how PEOPLE will react when frightened out of their wits? the Turks were absolutely right...not to have killed anyone, but to believe nations of Christians were getting set to kill THEM! They did it didn't they? They said Turkey was ripe to fall and then they knocked it over. In the process OF COURSE reactionary elements among the Turks lashed out in fear against Christians...what would Americns have done? What HAVE Americans done?

And if you point out that we haven't killed like they did...I'd point you to Iraq where we caused 500,000 children to die...one third as many as those other murderous Christians, the Nazis, killed in World War II...quite a thing to be compared to...no? And Turkey didn't go looking for that war, it was brought to it. What business, except Bidness, did we have to go beat up on and kill Iraqis? Where were Iraqis attacking us?

The Turks allied themselves with Germany for self-defense, though they knew well enough the Germans were not to be trusted. They too believed they were right...they too believed they were in "danger". Someone is doing this deliberately...there is no such thing as Evil People...there is no Evil or Good...there are parents trying to raise families the world over who are being made to hate and fear each other. We are people...all of us pretty much the same. We're all being taken advantage of...being made to fear and then hate each other when all of us have more in common with each other than any of us do with our "leaders". And our Leaders are all cut from the same cloth...there's no "love" of anything with them except love of power and cash. Power is their Nation...Money is their religion...every one of them has left his country more devastated than he found it, in this mad quest for power and dominance and "economic well-being" that bankrupts a nation every time while it makes a few bilionaires...each has done more harm to his own people than any "enemy" ever did. The United States will just be the biggest nation yet to make this same blunder. Its fate now lies with its people...not its government. America's government doesn't belong to the people any more...it belongs to those who buy it and they've figured out that fear and war go together like apple and pie and sells like crazy.
