Saw a disturbing film last night, "Welcome To Sarajevo". It was distressing for all the obvious reasons...people killing people, especially targetting civilians...children caught in the middle. Muslims being herded together and exterminated by Christians...at least Muslims fought back, not like the Jews when they were rounded up and done away with, but so what...in the end it just means more killing.

And of course the real tragedy is that they're the same people, look and act alike, but they're separated by their "love of God". One side loves one version of the bloody butcher, while the other loves the same god in another guise. If that isn't enough to prove religion makes people crazy I don't know what more we need to see...

There're a couple of moments that stand out, besides live footage of the carnage. One is when the cocky American reporter, played by the cocky American actor, Woody Harrleson, says he's certain the world would have moved faster to intervene if Muslims had been killing Christians. That's of course true because it's a Christian world...look at it. Another comes when a nine year old Muslim girl tells how one day her mother was informed there was no longer a job for her. Shades of Berlin in the 30's when Jews were marginalized, set aside for convenient slaughter later on. Also there's the sight of Muslim children, "enemy children", being pulled off a bus that's taking orphans out of Sarajevo under a UN brokered deal. Some rag-tag Christian militia stops the convoy and picks out the children, including babies, who have Muslim names. It's clear they're all going to be gleefully executed...rid the world of "wrong thinking" and "wrong praying" and stop the breeding of more. Then there are live shots of the concentration camps where bone thin, starving Muslims were left to die, with that hideous look of shock and then despair that this could be happening at all in their hollow eyes...who look for all the world like the last "wrong" religioned people Christians starved to death, the Jews. And to think this time we had film footage of it WHILE IT HAPPENED. They didn't show the motel brothels where Muslim mothers and young Muslim girls were literally fucked to death by Christians..but you knew it was going on.

And if you just cluck your tongue and sigh..."Ah, how many WRONG Christians there are"...you're missing the point. People may indeed kill people without religion...but it's also true people are kind to people without religion and certainly without these three maniac siblings, all descended from that one bloody dessert Fuck. No one can prove in any way that religion makes people kind and considerate. But we're used to saying people kill people even without religion. If that's true then it stands to reason they're kind without it too. What religion does do...especially Christianity, is provide a cover, often the excuse and always the necessity to be as bloody as you damn well please because you're Evangelising...one way or the other. You're spreading the "good word" and if it is't received properly, you're furthering god's work by killing the miscreants wo refuse it.

If you believe your god is the only one...you cannot possibly tolerate the gods of others...maybe especialy when it's one god in three guises...Yahwe, Allah and I guess Jesus. There's so much "error" in just that alone, such a boondoggle that it's bound to unhinge a sufficient majority so they'll take all the rest of us with them when they have their final confrontation...and that may be what we're gearing up for...the petroleum is an excuse a by-product of Christian zeal. Look at how much money and time and air waves were taken up to force us into fear and loathing of Islam...with the Jews pressed into service as well. Was 9/11 the Reichstag Fire all over again...was it the Haymarket Riots and Sacco and Vanzetti? I fear me that this is just what Christians were getting set to do back in the Serb war. That's one of the front lines where Islam meets Christianity...another was the Ottoman Empire...one foot in Christian Europe, the other in Asia...in a Muslim Asia.

How did some people know there was a Jewish Holocaust coming, compliments of Christianity? Even before it started in earnest, what tipped Theodore Hertzl, the father of Zionism, off in the 1890's and sent him touring Europe warning Jews to prepare for "something"? What did he realize covering the Dreyfus Trial in Christian France that alarmed him so? How do you know when your country, your village, your legislature, your people, your religion is crossing a line beyond which things will change drastically in ways you'll recognize only later, when it's too late, weren't just the usual sort of thing...but something more you should have done or said something about? Christianity polished off the Jews and uses them today as an attack dog. The most sarcastic thing of all is to say "Jews Run Things". If there ever have been a People with LESS to say about their destiny it's them. They still can't feed or clothe themselves on that dusty hilside. It would seem that some years back Christianity next set its sights on Islam and is working towards a Final Solution to it as well. Mostly our faces are too closely pressed against the murky glass of current events, especially when the media outlets fog the glass up delibertely, to see the longer view...but something is definitely afoot.

Are Bush and Ashcroft and Boykin and Lott and Robertson and Condi and Colin and who knows how many others, working quietly away in the background, just aberrations? Was our own coup only a blip? Are the Patriot Acts, father and son, a momentary lapse or the beginning of something significant and unprecedented...for us? Will America get a hold of itself and resume the protection of its Constitution and of itself under that Constitution? After all, the Weimar Republic had a model of a constitution, an excellent one and Berlin was the most avant-garde city in the world back before the Nazi Christians were handed power by a disgruntled populace eager for those "good old" Teutonic Days. And what part does Christianity play in all of this? Obviously you can't be a "real" Christian and starve children to death...no? But how can you be a real Christian in the first place when you have to begin by agreeing to that bloody bargain wherein someone innocent has to be killed "for you"? Isn't that the first and most significant part of being a Christian at all..especially a REAL one? Weren't those innocent Iraqi children also killed "for you"? If you agreed to benefit from the one murder...why not the others? I mean when WOULD you say, "No...not one murder more for my sake...it isn't worth it".

I don't want a heaven at that price. It would appear instead to be a cruel cosmic joke...a set-up whereby those low enough to accept the Christian Deal will wake up in hell, not paradise...with a host of heavenly angels dressed in Sharkskin suits, sipping Jack Daniels, who'll chortle out..."Did you REALLY think that was the way into HEAVEN"???..and burst out laughing at the sight of you, finally waking up to what you'd agreed to all along and were doing all those pious years...the number of times you ate symbollic flesh and drank symbollic blood to reaffirm your symbollic part in that bloody and REAL execution. And the number of real and actual executions and massacres of the Innocents since that first one this pre-disposed you to and you participated in, paid for and stood by silently approving because...there were MORE goodies in store for you.

This won't end in Sarajevo.

and ps...when the Winter Olympics were held there years ago...did anyone even know there were Muslims there?
