...I mean at aina and then with me, over at beth where I remained a little longer than at aina...while Tigath played ping pong there with their wits till they took their little balls and shut him out.

There was the usual waiting and lurking in dark corners for the moderators to step in and save them so they can be brave and courageous and witty and smart...but in the meantime a few people chimed in to give it the old college try. There seemed to be a little more thoughtful virulence this time around...not just the, "fuck your mother" sorts of things they and Christ, I guess, were known for. And some even tried valiantly to face the issues head-on...at least once, before retiring...others kept it up longer but it's interesting to note how they merely skip what they can't answer and focus on the fuzzy stuff instead, while we're at pains to deal with every single point they raise. And they sure can tie themselves into knots tryng to explain, or shout, how being Assyrian and being Christian is really the same thing...(so then why did we change over?). And to see them explain away the Jews and the trashing we get in their bible is a sorry spectacle worth the price of addmission by itself. And of course, their one sure-fire response is to "hint" that anyone who disagrees with them is a Muslim or a stupid Arab in someone's pay.

Now...I'm not the stupidest person to post over there...I'm not the least educated or least well read...neither am I someone who doesn't do anything about this Heritage of ours or brings no honor to it...I just refuse to give Christianity any credit for "saving" us...or giving us anything we didn't already have and much better too. So why would I be Muslim? And how would I be Muslim? And what difference would it make if I WAS...or if I was German or from Tahiti and spoke French? Are these the kinds of village "historians" who believe only a German can write German history...an Italian, Italian history and so forth? Can there be no Mexican experts on Russian history for instance? Are there no Reverends and priests who've written about the Muslims? Could I NOT comment on the present plight of the Assyrian people if I was Muslim or from China? Why not? As Christians they certainly seem to have enough to say about Muslims and Arabs and Turks. Aren't they assuming everyone is as prejudiced and rooting for "their" team as they are? Aren't they addmitting that their scholarshit is nothing more than that... nothing more than propaganda put out by Christians...and therefore everything that's said "against" them (and if you aren't FOR them you're automatically AGAINST them...the battle cry of Redneacks everywhere) must also be propaganda from an opposing team? Is there no possiblity of dispassionately examining anything? Well, not where religion is concerned because it's all a matter of fanaticism to varying degrees...ALL of which is irrational by definition and hence prone to drive people insane and then bloody murderous.

Will Durant's writings are among the most intellectually refreshing I've run across and more so because they are unpretentiously clear and lucid...well, imagine my shock when I found out he started life out as a preacher of one sort or other...yet he lambasts Christianity fairly and dispassionately...giving it its due but also boiling it in oil as it so richly deserves. Voltaire was another one raised to be pious who turned out intelligent and humane nonetheless. The ex-priest who wrote, "Constantine's Sword" in which he fries the Church for it's hatred of Jews is another and there are plenty if these shmucks of ours were interested in history and not hysteria.

Why would they even think it takes care of any issue raised that they can't deal with to turn on us and call us Muslim...or Arab...to tell us to go back to our Muslim brothers, after which they feel there isn't a thing more that needs to be said. So? What if we WERE Arabs, Muslims or getting paid by an Arab to say these things...doesn't Peter get paid and Hanna...when they have jobs...and does it invalidate their work if they get paid for it? What would I write or feel differently if I wasn't being "paid"...or if I was? Getting paid makes you a professonal...so what's wrong with being a PROFESSIONAL historian or scholar or expert? Do we HAVE to be amateurish in everything we do as Assyrians? Why does getting paid for what you do make a monster out of you? A traitor? After all...no one will pay you...will hire you, if you aren't damn good at what you do. So THEY can't get paid for their opinions and facts and ideas or the way they express them...not by ANY Christians...but let's say I CAN get paid...by a Muslim or Turk or Chinaman...so? Should we not believe an engineer if he's paid to be an engineer? Why can't some Muslim who gets paid for it make valid or insightful observations about Assyrians...or the Chinese...or about Mars? Can only a Martian write an article about life or the temperature, or conduct research on Mars?

What they write sounds more like the words of someone who's being paid and not paid much at that...who has no deep personal convictions, who hasn't thought about anything he or she says...who's merely repeating slogans and catch-phrases...who shouts and then runs away because he knows he can't handle the challenges that are gonna come his way. I'd say cheering on the destruction of BetNahrain and the murder of the people there, in order to "save" them too...like Christ "saved" the Assyrians...is pretty much the work of a traitor and then a collaborator...especially when Israel is the beneficiary at the expense of BetNahrain.

You can see why they don't teach anywhere...or write their atrocious "papers" anywhere else, or go anywhere or do much of anything in the world AS Assyrians.

It only proves that the entire basis for everyting they say is Christianity and they see the world through "us vs. them" eyes when they think the greatest insult they can hurl is to call someone a Muslim...like I call them Christians to return the favor. They just cannot abide to be treated as they would treat others...instead they hurl insults and hatred and vulgarities all about and expect sugared, correct and well-mannered words in return. They make every bit as shitty Christians as they make crappy Assyrians...and they aren't either when you come right down to it...just lost little boys and girls hoping to be taken in by anyone more powerful who has a warm place by a fire for them to curl up and they'll fawn all over you and whimper and purr and you can kick them all you want to for they'll always be "loyal". Dogs at heart and in their black souls.

These are not fighters...they are not builders, they are definitely not thinkers. They are "Repeaters" and if you catch them early enough in their lives and teach them to repeat something...they'll do it from then on...because as they themselves say..."WE will NEVER forget
