Why don't you answer to Andy? What are you a-Fred of? I'm quoting his adhortation to you: "In sum: show me how accepting a gift from a loving God and following his example in self-giving are bad things, or actually cause bad behavior, and you've got something. As of now, all you have is a big misunderstanding and a read of history colored by it. " The burden is on clearly on YOU. You keep on dancing around with crippled analogies, abysmal inconsistencies, wilful misrepresentations and foamed-up bogus claims which are so easy to hurl back into yer teeth (-> "sins of fathers". Now duck better away unless you want to be hit by boomeranging mastodon/elephant you put atop the tree .... ). I've have presented my position often enough here: Whatever is correctly identified as crimes of whatever church is un-Christian to - yes - outright anti-Christian. Or historically seen: Too much imperial lust, priest-magician opium and authoritarian exploitation of "dumbed and blinded masses" is lingering on as a real heritage of e.g. old Rom, Assyria etc.. In short: Christianity has not even begun for those caricature entities or has been corrupted by a 180°-turn regression to pre-Christians forms. So, all you are criticising is basically that old "glorious heritage" you seem to be so proud of, preferably by bolstered up concoctions. But you are not touching Christianity anyway nor are you having it anywhere in your sights. This practice of purifying religion and living up to its uncorrupted ideals is extremely important and a genuine Christian obligation. But only Christians can do that AS they - at least: should - know how far that religion has SOMETIMES swayed from its path and how deep it has fallen. However it can NOT be done, not even understood in its spiritual dimension by someone who has not only no idea but is barring his sight with dishonest absurd inventions and is regularly ending up in a rhetorical suicide. Thus you are effectively hindering this process of purification, you are throwing fog where clear and sharp concepts are needed, you are discrediting it by making it ridiculous through yer incoherent rantings and logical flops: The real criminals and distorters of Christianity - inside and outside any church - could find no better ally than you are. Congratulations! BTW: I am not Catholic, I don't adhere to any official church.
