When i sit with my dad i hear in paltalk all these arguments but i never hear anything about ideas,plans for our nation in the new Iraq .All the Assyrians around the world should be united and have one political word towards the new Iraq.The thing that i am really upset about is how our nation Assyrian have been devided and have called themselfs,Chaldens,Jackobies,Syriac & Nestourens.This is the name of their religon but this has led Assyrians have a weakness,this is not right we should all be called Assyrians and help one anothe and stick together,this could lead us in a very good position and we would have a lightness in our nation.

...the kid almost got it right...these are indeed all religions and sects and denominations which have ever fractured people and nations...they are meant to. However..when the post ends with a blessing on Assyrians...you have to ask if the kid merely means by that Christians...cause if he or she does, then we`re right back to the dividing line.

Either you remove religion entirely..or you just split all over again because the religion is nonsense to begin with and invites division and petty argument over trivial idiocies...and besides all of that has nothing to do with BetNahrain. Either we never ask what religion a person is..or we go back to square one...with Mar One and Mar Two and begin all over again defining the REAL Christ etc and ad nauseum.

There is an Assyria already...doesn`t matter the name...besides which it`s OUR name anyway...Uruk..or Iraq. It doesn`t matter the religions..it doesn`t matter the languages..they are ALL of "us". If we could feel that way towards it and not get hung up on extraneous details that the West is so adept at manipulating to the detriment of all of us...we`d stand a chance..but everyone has to stop shouting for UNTITTIES, under their own banner, when they all mean to divide us some more...it`s the people who will voluntarily give UP their pet notions who will be the peacemakers..not the ones who will NEVER FORGET.
