It was there in the cards all along. The Protestant Reformation and now the Evangelical Hootenany. For as long as the Christian Church could get away with it they claimed to have the inside track on what god wanted us all to do and they gave themselves the right to kill anyone who disagreed. We all know what that kind of power eventually leads to...it leads to divine arrogance, unbelievable cruelty, to Redemption for sale...free lots in Paradise and ultimately to the Protestant Reformation wherein one batch of Christians broke away from the main branch. No need to tell you what was done to these breakaway Christians...they were hunted down and killed, their children too...10,000 of them in one day in France, during the feast day of St Bartholemew...for which the pope in Rome had all the bells fire a salute and fell to his knees singing a Te Deum...thanks to that same barbarian god Andy loves so. I know...they all got it wrong too.

And of course...since the fruit won't fall far from the gibbet, in countries where the Protestants became dominant they took to killing what were now Catholics and so this religion of love-that-gets-it-wrong rolled right on over people's bodies and souls crushing and banging away so that one day Andy could share a house in San Jose and tell us all about god's love.

The pope and his Board had been rightly fearful that if one group broke away and demanded the right to read into the bible according to its own conscience, then another and another might do the same and then where would the Franchise be? But they couldn't stop them no matter how many they killed because its a heady thing to tell god what he meant to say. There were already Eastern Orthodox and soon there were Lutherans and Calvinists and Third Monarchy Men and Lollards and Puritans and Presbyterians and later Quakers and Mennonites and Bachlorettes and Cheeleaders and all of them insisting they got it "Right" and the rest were "Wrong"...much as Andy still does...and much as they did then, they're still all killing each other and the rest of us and claiming it was all a "mistake", they really meant to love us.

Once you go nuts there's little to stop you from ging further and people get tired of one sort of lunacy...they require variety in Bedlam too, so in America we started experimenting with Eastern religons...chanting "OMMMMM"...shoving roses into people's faces at airports, dancing by moonlight and then, some 25 years ago the Jesus Freaks moved in and wiped out the compettition and in no time we had people standing on street corners shouting "Jesus LOVES YOU you asshole"!!!

There was a renewed, then frantic, then desperate, then bloody interest in "going back to god" and those of us who knew what that meant took off running. We'd seen that kind of love before. Today the Evangelicals...the Church's brood from hell...sired by the Catholic Church as surely as Luther's movement was, has been unleashed on the world and picked up by Conservative people as a sure fire way to get us all looking up to heaven while they slit our throats here on earth. These people didn't get anything "wrong"...it's all right there in the bible. Just because Andy reads that mish mash of barbarisms selectively, with his pinkie finger raised, doesn't mean REAL Christians do the same. Real Christians take the whole damn thing seriously...like it was meant to be...and in it there is justification for any bloody, incestuous thing you want to do...and all of it can be laid at god's feet...who didn't shrink from anything, including killing his dear sons to "show perfect love". You DO remember who made the stuff up in the first place don't you?

I call Andy a man with no honor, not because he wants to "Love"...fer heavins sake...but because he takes his definitons and his marching orders uncritically...even heaves in a few dead Greeks... from such a beastly place and from a people who show us today what they would have shown back then and every day since if someone would just have provided them with the artillery...like the Christian United States does today. The more Andy "Believes"...the more lost his soul...but who needs that kind of a soul? What good is it doing Andy? His sights are set on Paradise and if he has to "love" his way there, he'll do it...that and anyting else he's told to do. This is not morality...it is not Love. It's trying to buy your way in when you know there's no other way for someone such as you. It's a prostitute's religion.
