Has anyone sent this article to HRW? I wonder what their response would be. Treanor raises legitimate points, esp. regarding the economic & ethical backgrounds of HRW council members. Do you know how many organizations are biased like that? Sometimes it's intentional, sometimes it's not. See how HRW council members respond to such criticism, & then make a judgement. However, a lot of organizations, esp. those that rely on wealthy donors, do uphold the system that they are attempting to change. --------------------- |
