I was "free-associating"...letting my mind wander back over Time and came up with this list. If you don't stop at the Muslim Conquest and remain forever hysterical over it...well, that's a pretty damn impressive resume for an area not all that large, bounded by two rivers. Surely Ashur did good...no?

Compare these names and achievements with what we've managed as Christians for the last 2000 years...and don't tell me how we were "picked upon"...things weren't too easy back then either.
