Radio Sawa is one of the American Government broadcasting Radio covers all Middle East and Iraq of course. I realized that when I was there last year. Most Iraqi people listen to this radio in cars, homes and offices.
The radio broadcasts only music and news every 30 mints and some interviews with people. The news are in Arabic language only. The music are in three languages "Arabic, English, and Kurdish and some Spanish music" no Assyrian. I started email them and encourage them to put some Assyrian music but there were no answer from then, the only responded I got from them was last year and they told me they are working on it and again that was last year. Still there is no Assyrian Music broadcasting till this moment. After that they ignored my emails. I offered them free Assyrian CDs if they do not have. But again no respond.

...This is the game the boys play. They are the ones to INSIST that you have to be Christian to be Assyrian...that no Muslim can be Assyrian till he or she accepts Jesus first...fat chance. What then would you expect to be the reaction of the radio station in a Muslim country that`s just had a devatstaing war brought to it by Christianity, if they are asked to play Christian music? That`s what it is to THEM! Our own boys don`t want to hear Arabic music at weddings..they feel betrayed because to them Arab is MUSLIM. By the same token to Muslims "Assyrian" is code for CHRISTIAN and as BooHoo hates all Muslims for 1567...Muslims return the favor by hating all Christians for 2004.

...This is the game the boys play...first INSIST you have to be Christian to be Assyrian..and then act in shock and disbelief and yell for their RIGHTS when Assyrian music is regarded as purely Christian. If they removed religion from the picture entirely...music would be music. They are duplicitous and double dealing..when they get exactly what they deserve..when Muslims respond to the word "Assyrian" as if it meant "Exclusively Christian"...which is the definition these boys use...then the boys cry that they`re being discriminated against AS ASSYRIANS...which they aren`t anyway. They try to fool each other and you too...and of course the casual reader who flits by..but they don`t fool ANY Muslim...or any Assyrian. They fool Fools.

I encourage every one of you to send to them an email ask and encourage them to broadcast some Assyrian Music as well. I think if they have a large numbers of emails they will put something there in Assyrian.
Remember, this radio is for everyone in Iraq and we still Iraqis people and our people still live there.
