I don't think the example of Jesus teaches self-sacrifice...it teaches sacrifice of others, the more innocent the better, in order for us to get the Goods. Had Jesus hurled himself in front of a gallumphing jackass to save a child's life...that would be risking his life and losing it to save another person. That's very different than sitting your wrists to save someone...for Jesus knew he HAD to die...which makes it "Suicide by Roman Empire", more than anything else. And then someone..in this case his own "loving" father , a god no less, said, "Look...I'm going to send a wild jackass heading straight for that kid over there...and I want you to throw yurself in front of it and get mangled and torn and nailed and humiliated...so I can save the kid". Huh?

For humans to be told that a Ferrari or Eternal Life awaits them if only they'll agree to be that Kid and wait for tha jackass to come barrelling down at them and ACCEPT the innocent young man's being thrown in between and horribly killed...so they can get the Goods...is absurd, barbaric and very Christian/Roman...and as far from BetNahrain as Jerusalem from New Jersey.

A decent Christian, certainly an Assyrian, would have said, "Hell no! What kind of an idiot god are you anyway who builds galaxies and star systems and cats and dogs and can't find anything better to do than endanger someone needlessly...then want desperately to SAVE the endangered person...and the BEST way you can come up with is to get ANOTHER person killed? What about saving Jesus? Or is that the whole point? Is that the carryover from them Hebrews killing their own dearest first born sons...slitting their troats and letting the blood run out of those "dear veins" on that "dear neck" they used to shower kisses on...is that the point? That you have to SACRIFICE your dearest..."thing"..."possession"..."honor"...."child"..in order to get the Goods...either rain, a Ferari or Eternal Life? And shouldn't that damn you to hell rather than get you QANYTING? It would have in Betnahrain...not in Israel.

And to accept all this hooey on the say so of five Jews out of work...who could never catch fish anyway, who were probably pulling on a jug of locust wine, but saw a god rise up instead...what's one whopper more or less...I mean remember these jackasses claimed they were lving in sheepshit heaven...the chosen land they had to run from periodically and sell themseles into slavery so they could eat...so how believable or worthy to be believed were they?

To accept this nonsense uncritically, with absolutey no way to verfiy such a jumble of fantastic and yet paltry lies and NOT WANT ANY, but be content to swallow it all whole...ESPECIALLY for an Assyrian...who shows no interest in the DIRECT words of his own ancestors...interpreted by no one...no Roamn Empire...no Italians...No Jews...no Elizabethans...no one but their own words coming from a time much older than when Jesus walked...is an amazing comment on how unsuitable Christian nonsense is for Assyrians of ALL people on earth.
