It's always been so funny to me...I mean this Christian philosophizing and agonizing over "deep questions" and the, "imperfectability of man"... and the, "uncertainty of Truth"... and the, "aloneness of Humankind in an indifferent seeming universe"... and the need for, "anchors and chains"... and then, "roads and paths"... and "Climb Every Mountain"... and singing nuns. Religious beliefs are like the doctor who infects you with a disease then shows up on your doorstep with the cure...and waits around to be thanked and stroked and petted. I'd kick that sort of doctor in the ass and send him flying. I sure as hell wouldn't let him near my child.

After a few years at the feet of father priest and mother church...after years of hearing about Adam and how he bit Eve on her apples and snakes and original sin and babies having to go to hell, if a priest doesn't get to them first and dispensations so you can get away with murder and rosaries and down on your knees and Sin and Evil and Devils and miracles and wines into fishes and how it's okay to eat human flesh while kneeling at the foot of the bleeding dummy it was cut from and the accumulated nonsense of centuries, with a host of saints right out of Bedlam...it's no wonder Christians have "issues" that the intellectual ones are cross-eyed from "pondering", that are to them "imponderables"...but make a grown child laugh, if you don't beat it for doing so.

Where's the problem? If you don't first posit assinine "questions" you won't have any trouble telling your hole in the ground from your neighbor's ass...none at all. How does the "Golden Assyrian Rule" confuse anyone? Just exactly who needs a god and for what, except to forgive them for killing the neighbors, where the police won't? Since there are any number of explanations for how the world was made and they are all fit for a nursery in hell...obviously NO ONE KNOWS. If god existed he'd make his word known nice and easily...no need for all this idiocy.

If you're going to say a Cat created the universe using a broken chopstick while one paw was in its arse...you've just created "issues" to last a lifetime. "Which paw"? How big was the Cat? Where did the Cat come from? Where'd it get a chopstick and why? What color was the Cat? What color was the chopstick? Was the Cat "always here"? Was the Cat co-eternal or co-existant? Was the Cat its own Kitten or was the Kitten the embodiment of the Cat tranmogrified? Did it eat mice? What kind of mice? Should a cat eat mice? Should you? Anyone taking this seriously and then wanting to PONDER it...will very soon be a raving lunatic and then be qualified to be given charge over the minds of children so he can teach them all about these kinds of "Truths" and confuse the hell out of THEM.

The Assyrian Rule(see...I know any number of our Christians are just dying to correct me and say it wasn't an Assyrian rule...that it's blasphemey not to recognize the TRUTH...that the Hebrews came up with it, like they did everything else) has nothing to do with god...or who made the universe or if it was ordered through a catalogue...it doesn't care WHAT fantasy you choose to believe..it just states that whatever fantasy is yours...you still don't want someone gouging your eyes out over it...and you promise not to gouge the eyes out of the person believing differently than you. And that's enough for any sane and civil society. The rest of that twaddle serves the purpose of inciting war and murder to settle the BIG ISSUES...which, happily, also fills coffers with gold, increases land mass and accumulates power in the hands of those who would profit from killing and have a vested interest in an endless procession of stupid children, made to order through the stupid moral teachings of the stupid schools and temples it takes to make them stupid, for centuries to come.

But that simple rule isn't enough...not for Evangelizing, pain-in-the-ass Christians...who aren't content to live and let live but prefer to live and make die. And part of the reason for that, other than that it's a tendency in many humans to be brutal...is the encouragement Christianity and this one-god nonsense gives to those brutal tendencies by making religious beliefs SO damn stupid and illogical, that the only way a "true believer" can believe truly is to first unhinge his own mind and then make sure no one survives on earth who gives the lie to his shakey belief-system of accumulated idiocies by NOT believing it and so he HAS to get rid of the Opposition...he HAS to make the world over into the kind of a place where everyone either agrees with him or is dead, because their refusal to go along with his particular madness...makes him REAL Mad.

If you aren't infected with the disease in the first place, you don't get the symptoms...you don't go around asking those really big and stupid questions...like is there a god and do I get to go see him when I die and on which cloud exactly? You laugh at this stuff, as it is all funny and silly too, like our Divine Barmaid did in advising Gilgamesh to drink his stout, grow up and go home to be a decent man, husband, father, neighbor and king, and if he could do that...it was Paradise enough for anyone......and go on your way with nothing DEEP and IMPONDERABLE to kill anyone over.

I'm not Christian...Jesus was a nice enough guy but there have been plenty of those and I'm grateful to all of them. But BECOME a Christian...are you joking? I didn't raise my children Christian...or anything else along those lines. Does anyone seriously think therefore that I taught them to steal and kill and maim and disrespect others, and always take the biggest slice for themselves and that I want my children to go forth and be evil and crimminal and even become cannibals...or that I would countenance such behavior or am helpless to find ways of teaching them any better without the help of the Church or Temple or Mosque or Witch's Coven?? Are you insane or what?

Keep your fucking Devils and we won't need your goddamn Gods.
