Surely he can`t mean our Assyrian ancestors...the ones who worshipped an Assyrian god...like Jews worship a Jew god and Christians a Christian/Jew god and Muslims a Muslim/Jew god. These people think of themselves as Christians...they only throw in "Assyrian" to help them distance themselves from what they really are...Christians Iraqis, or Christian Turks or Christian Syrians etc. That and a flimsy pretext to get back "their" country. Our Assyrian...not Christian, ancestors did a very strange thing...by way of making themselves even MORE Assyrian they went running after the gods of others...no other ethnic group in history would make such an absurd claim...like a Jew being MORE of a Jew for following after Buddha. Makes no sense. How come our ancestors wouldn´t fight and die for Ashur the way they were willing to get slaughtered for Christ?
