...okay...this is delicate. First off there is no Assyrian Nation. You have to define terms clearly at the start or all you`ll do is yell and scream and hang-up at the end. A "nation" may be able to exist with a multiplicity of jealous sects and warring denominations if it has secure borders, an army ...a parliament...but even then, as we`ve see in every countrey where religion dominates..you get wars and civil unrest and the rest of it. real strong nations put religion behind them...they allow their citizens to believe what they will so long laws are obeyed...the rest will fight forever...or be MADE to fight forever.

The Jews had no nation and lived scattered for centuries...but what worked for them was this ONE and ONLY one and most ancient and original religion of theirs that was more than religion..it DEFINED a Jew in every sense.

We on the other hand split among various denominations of a religion that was itself a tremendous split away from what we`d been for three millenia. Add to that that we were sent out into the world to live among a variety of people...many of them with their own notions of what a Christian is...with no compelling reason to remain clannish...but on the contrary with every incentive to blend in and join, especially where our children are concerned...do that long enough and you wind up without a SINGLE anchor to hold you steady.

Now...under these circumstances, which are widely differnt from what the Jews dealt with...it becomes even MORE imperative that you try to have a single unifying force..only trouble is people keep looking to the same thing that fractured us and has been divinding us since..that same Jew based religion of Christianity and its screaming sects. And to try to go even FARTHER back to its ARAMAIC roots is still chasing the same phantom...for you have yet to go all the way back before the problem even started...which is all the way back to when we were unified under Ashur...unified enough that is that we had a nation in which we were secure enough to tolerate any and all religions.

Now, back to Paul. What Paul is trying to do is go back to the REAL FALSEHOOD...instead of all the later falsehoods. All he can hope to achieve is narrow our manifest and multiple problems since we were forced to abandon our own ways...and were taught we LOVED doing it...is arrive at the first crime..the first betrayal. How that`s going to "unify" us all I can`t imagine and I don`t think Paul thinks much about it...there`s just something "pure" in his mind to going back to the frist rape. But it will change nothing. You could wipe out all variations and deviations from that first rape..wait a few decades..and you`d be right back where we are today..right back at a bunch of people lost in Christianity.

So..there is no nation..there are a gaggle of Christian sects (leaving Muslim Assyrians out of it for now)...and for an otherwise intelligent Assyrian to spend his time trying to "work" for Assyrians by purifying them of all the other mistakes until he leaves us with our one BIG MISTAKE...is hardly going to help anyone in the end.

It is absurd to claim Assyrians came to Christ willingly. They already had more of his universal message than he did...and there was nothing in the eat-a-jew-and-get-heaven to move any Assyrian. We were forced into Christianity and the proof is in what it`s done to us. We were not, after all, a nation of Hottentots living in grass shacks OR those mud hut villages we still slander our people with by saying our ancestors ran there to get away from the world. It`s one thing for a tribe that eats its neighbors to be forced to eat a Jew and quit eating the neighbors..and if the missionaries brought soap and medicine..well okay, maybe there was some slight improvement for the people.

but for the ASSYRIANS? We slander and insult our own roots..our own families...our own ancestors and instead go revering and respecting and crying over and loving the ancestors of the JEWS. What can come of that for the descendants of the Assyrians? You really want to know? You`ll see it play out in Iraq in the years to come. We will have succeeded in getting Christian Assyrians buried in Iraq..that`s all this running after th Jews did for us...but it will be okay...for then the boys will get a Jew heaven as well..to go with their Jew lord and religion.

While there isn`t anything for Paul to destroy...he isn`t helping to build anything either. That will have to come from Assyrian Assyrians...and we can expect help from Muslim Assyrians. The Christians have made themselves irrelevant and they`ll further solve their own problems by making themselves dead in Iraq.
