While I agree that Robert's rhetoric is a little on the extreme side =), I don't agree with your assessment that the Jews have dominated us spiritually.

Also, I would like to add that I agree with Robert's comment earlier about Judaism and Christianity being native religions of Mesopotamia.

With regards to names - my name happens to be Latin. I don't understand the big deal - when the Israelites were deported to Assyria, there is ample archaeological evidence that subsequent generations changed their Hebrew names to Assyrian names. (I believe there was an article recently on this in Biblical Archaeology magazine.)
