Here are our boys over in America where it's Christian-safe...they don't have to worry about foreign attack...they don't have to worry about spies and a Police State and no one will fire them from a job or take their house away because of their religion (not yet)...here they are, in the land of Democracy...something very near and dear to their hearts...where they're finally free to tell the world the truth and show by their own contrasting example, what a slime and dictator Saddam was and what boys of democracy they are and build all those Assyrian things Saddam wouldn't let them.

How, they keep reminding us, could Saddam shut them out...ban them from high official posts and delete some of them altogether. Didn't he realize that the essence of democracy and freedom is that you must allow all opinions equal time and scope and if there are some who offend your sensibilities or personal vanity, or self-serving myths, or sense of importance, that is no excuse to deny them free access and an equal say in governing their own lives or being accorded all the rights and privileges that go with citizenship...that, short of treason, no one should be chastised or discriminated against for their personal opinions...that Saddam's whims and the changes they go through on a daily basis can't be called the Rule of Law...or politeness or even netiquette? Why can't Saddam and them Baatheys live and let live and show some tolerace for diversity instead of demanding everyone confrom to the guy with the mic?

And you'd think they'd practise a little of what they bitch. Why can't they leave contrary opinions up there? Why must profanity be cleaned up when people can avoid it easily enough by not looking...the same with things they might not agree with or want others to see...why can't aina be run as they would run a new Iraq...or is it?

Of course there's no "maintenance" being done...Peter had his oil changed already. What probably happened is the same that happened years back when George Stiffo still had one testicle...the day he warned Hanna to stop deleting me because I was frustrating HIM personally and reminded him that as Webmaster he could cut Hanna out completely...and all was quiet for three days and then Hanna came back as the official, not part-time, moderator and that was that.

Firas or some of their boys in Iraq and around the country have gotten a little nervous at what's beginning to look more and more like the same mentality they all claim they ran from. For fear of turning too many people off and then away, they may be deciding on some new NEW RULES and a way to save their creepy faces at the same time...as in how do you let Kakovitch back on when he did nothing to warrant being silenced in the first place except "pick" on the same dweeb they still have holding the mic over there...or will they? Might Petey be going away soon...might they delete HIM?

It's a dilemna of huge proportions, especially for small minds...for they are damned if they do and don't...which shouldn't upset them too much cause they're damned silly ALL the time. They have to keep singing their one song without interruption or opposition: that they MUST have their right to be heard and live in peace with their opinions and ways COMPLETELY protected and guaranteed in Muslim Iraq...but in the meanwhile...over in democratic and freedom-loving America, they're banning and insulting and spitting and calling down death on all those who disagree with them...making and changing rules and lying as it pleases them...while all the time they are STILL telling us you can never trust a Muslim.

So...what do they do? This is why all tyrannies sooner or later fall apart...because the conditions they demand in order to perpetuate their lies and keep them in power eventually result in a defeated and cowed populace that loses the interest and then the vigor to keep up with the times...to compete...to be imaginative and daring...to question in science and engineering and medicine when they can't even ask why their own child was whisked off to a detention center. The conditions they themselves dictate...eventually lead to their own undoing...happens every time. That's what's happening at aina right now.

And what they mean by "maintenace"...doesn't mean fiddling with nuts and bolts...it means how do they MAINTAIN themselves there...how do they MAINTAIN the ficion that they are freedom loving democrats...ready to live in a pluralistic society where the rights of all minorities must be respected...at least as far as allowing them to express contrary opinions...no one wants to yell "PETER" in a toilet.

If they open the doors a little too much in allowing the disgruntled and only marginally idiotic ones back in and yet still allow them to feel "protected" and welcome...they risk allowing a few others to get in who might upset Petey all over again...and how many times can they do this without blowing their cover entirely?..for you know how they dearly cherish Fronts. But, if they refuse to budge then they marginalize themselves even more...begin to sound more like the broken record they've been since I can remember. And, as Tiglath pointed out, Kakovitch really has no one to blame but himself...as the others who are complaining now about censorship must also shoulder a major part of the responsibility for had they all insisted to Peter that they would tolerate no childish banning and deleting and didn't need protecting, thanks all the same...none of this would have happened...BUT, neither could they maintain these ridiculous positions WITHOUT just such a stifling atmosphere as they demand for were the doors really thrown open...they'd all be forced to leave AGAIN...the "self-banning" we already practise here.

If, as they claim, NOTHING will diminish or tarnish or defeat the good name of Assyria, not massacres not wholesale discrimination not torture...how did a Kakovitch or Tiglath or Parhad ever become such a threat? These guys are claiming to American officials and people the world over in letters sent to the United Nations and the Media that they're more than ready and capable of being handed governing responsibilities and THIS is how they behave when it's just a question of one of them getting "picked" upon???

What...oh what does a Tyrant caught out with his pants down cover up first? I've seen Peter...I'd say his face first of all.

And Petey...some of those Assyrian children of Iraq breathed for 564 DAYS!!! And we're crying and upset cause there wasn't another day of breath allowed them??? Why don't we all grow up and get real...show us how Pete...lead us there.

note: If it took Judaism to give those quaking and shaking Assyrians, hiding up in the hills, the courage and guts and fortitude to come down again and rejoin society...and if Peter and Aprim and Hanna and Stiffo and the rest, whom we slap around at will while they dare not even answer with words, are typical of this new and improved DOUBLE-STRENGTH Assyrian...well...you figure out how likely that is.
