...keep in mind these people are confirmed liars...they believe it`s okay however because they are FIGHTING EVIL and building A NAYSHUN...so building it on lies is okay..like a war for freedom based on lies is just as okay.

There`s finally been a large enough tempest in the teapot called Assyria to provide a meaningful waste of time for the boys. They don`t mind wasting their time and breath...but it has to be meaningless enough to qualify as GRAT.

The reality on the ground is just as depressing as the symbols..in fact the boys will have found nothing at all to cheer about..as usual. Their brief moment in the spotlight, very weak at that, came as a result of the attack against Iraq they enciouraged...the Sanctions and the murderous and divisive effect they had on their "dear" country...a brieft period of time in which they got representatives into a rogue parliament they also bashed...and now with the war in full gear, some belated nods of the head from people , white Christian people, in their direction because they can use them to sell the war back home, and then nothing..they`ll be dumped again like they always have been, like they`ve been dumping on Ashur all these years...

...this is not a press release. They just say it is...words again...because it sounds like someone in the press actually got the thing. No one in the press ever heard of them or would know what they`re talking about..or care.

...doesn`t even know whom he`s addressing..why not just write, "Dear Cruel World"...or "Dear Fucking Denominations".

The flag that was approved by the governing council was a disappointment for our Assyrian members. The theme of the new flag is prejudice in favor of Islamists, and Kurds and it does not represent all Iraqi people. It neglects the indigenous people of Iraq, the Assyrians. It also neglects the Christian and the non Muslims living in Iraq.

...you aren`t Assyrians..everyone else knows that but doesn`t want to be the one to tell you. It is breathtaking that you woulod all believe your silly priests this far and for this long...amazing to think that based on nothing more than Father Rukhtapoulitos`say so, you would make these claims...simply because you speak an old language that Christ spoke too. What the hell does Christ have to do with being Assyrian?

A flag is a symbol of the nation. The proposed flag ignores the following people:
The Assyrians and 7000 years of history (Assyrians, Chaldeans, Syriac).
The Armenians.
The Turkmans.
The Jews.
The Yazidis.
The Mandaeans.
All Other Non Muslims.

...a flag is a symbol of a nation...Native Americans aren`t represented in the Stars and Stripes..they hate the symbol too...so what?

...for the umpteenth time..you are not Assyrians..you can prove nothing...it is outrageous and dastardly too that as Chrisdtians you would seize upon the ancient people and their long history whose god you despise and turned away from...if you were EVER anything close to Assyrian anyway. You play such obvious Opportunists in everything you do that people can be forgiven for realizing your being opportunists again when you try to take advantage of the name "Assyrian" to win concessions for your Christian idiocies...run along with you.

The Assyrian history, heritage and civilization should be the proud history of every honest Iraqi.
Neglecting this history not only shows that your council does not respect or understand democracy but it proves that the unity and future of Iraq is fuliginous.

...Every Muslim Assyrian does reverence to the ancient Assyrians..always have. What they won`t do is give YOU any exclusive rights as the ONLY and DIRECT heairs of Ashurbanipal...do you think they`re crazy too? They also have 1300 years of ofte brilliant Muslim history they revere...a time-period you blot out, refused to participate in and slime and slander to your students in your madrassas. You are the last people on earth to accuse others of being dishonest. This is not a press release..no one got it..no one would even read it.

We would like to remind the governing council that the United State Army that liberated Iraq was made up of Christians, Muslims and Jews. The man and women that died for your liberation wanted the Iraqi people to live in a country that is democratic and respectful of all people notwithstanding of their religion, ethnicity or nationality.

...keep calling it a "Liberation"...go on. Keep echoing Bush over there and see what it gets you. Damfool.

As proud Assyrian Americans we believe that the sacrifice of those brave men and women that served in this liberation should be recognized by producing a free democratic Iraq. This proposed flag is an insult to the meaning of democracy. On what basis do you expect an Assyrian man or woman living in Iraq to sacrifice his/her life for a flag that has Islamic, Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite symbols?

...we wondered too on what basis you cheered on this inhumane war against civillians who never did a thing to America? They needed no liberating like this...they needed none at all at the point of a gun.
