Thank you for doing this documentary. Could you answer me why everyine including you below say that modern day Assyrians "CLAIM" to be descendents of ancient Assyrians. Why are Assyrians the only ethnicity alive today everyone always says "claims" are descendents... do people really believe that an entire people just dissappeared of the face of the earth so much that they deny modern Assyrians, even if slighty or subconsciously, using words like we claim to be Assyrians...

...of course they didn`t disappear...but neither did they transform themselves ONLY into Christians..the vast majority are Muslims...who ever denied their survival? Though no one claims or can prove they are Assyrian in any way shape of form..the best we can do is act the part and not many Christians do that...but that`s okay...we`re here...we just aren`t all YOU.

do people of Cherokee descent only claim to be Cherokee even though they no longer live in a Cherokee nation of the past?

...In three thousand years...if the Cherokee people give up being Cherokee and turn Jewish instead...there won`t be any Cherokee people as we know them today...but it`s good you mention Native Americans...who have treaties giving them land in America can enforce nothing...shows you the chances of laying claim to lands in Iraq...come one.

All the centuries that the Jewish people had no nation and only dispersed through the diaspora, noone said they "claimed" to be descendents of the ancient Hebrews, and Assyrians have kept a presense, if not a nation, in the middle east as well as in the diaspora.

...no Jew who turned to Jesus remained a Jew...he became a follower of Christ...Assyrians who remained faithful to Ashur...or choose now to reclaim that heritage...have some basis to that claim and fit your example...the ones who turned away from their ancient religion, as the Jews DID NOT...can hardly claim to be Assyrian in any shape or form.

Can you add to your documentary an explaination of this phenomena and get a psychologist to examine if this is some kind of subconscious bias against Assyrians form OT claims that god would destroy them all...

I have many Assyrian relatives that have all the features of the reliefs of ancient Assyrians so I know we still exist and it is more than a claim... it is a FACT. Thank you again for your great efforts and please take this info with the good intentions it is intended.

...there are many Muslims and Kurds with those same features...amazing ain`t it?
