Andy, dear fellow...sometimes I think your church put the Greeks and everything else, into that religiobabbled meatgrinder of their's and salvaged only those parts that could be used to make what you laughingly call "a case". No...you don't have to prove anything, but you people have a whole hell of a lot to answer for. If your belief system was about as harmful as warm apples it wouldn't matter to me or the countless dead you people put away. But your belief system, one which says the god of the universe died for YOU and everyone else whether the ungrateful bastards know it or not...and further, gets five-year olds a starter-set of human flesh and blood to consume and tells them it's okay to play games like that, "where's the harm"...has caused and is causing all sorts of mayhem...and the fact that you want to turn a blind eye to it because YOU need to get to heaven and they own the busline...shows you in itself how corrupting this rot is. You might as well be a secular creep who doesn't want to criticize Bush because the price of gas just went down and "where's the harm"? You've got to drive to heaven...so what whom you drive over. You're like Bush and his Haliburton thing...whenever one of them gets caught...or a fornicating priest...you drum him out and tsk tsk him all over the place. But you haven't once, in 2000 years, asked yourselves if there's something inherently screwy in your belief system. Just because you're all warm and fuzzy at the idea of gods dying for you...you decided to overlook everything else. And there again...DYINGDYINGDYINGDYINGDYING...you realize how many tmes the conversation, here and in your head, comes back to Dying and Death and associates it with gifts and paradise? That and eating dead flesh and drinking blood? This is a religion of peace or butchers? Take the Evangelicals...your natural born children. There's a Greek philosopher...can't remember which one, though you probably know his street address...who was in the market in Athens one day when he spied a pupil of his accompanied by his father having a heated debate with a fishmonger. The young lad finally swore at the peddler and the father promptly received a cuff on the ear from the philosopher. When asked why the sage struck the father and not the son...the man replied, "because you should have taught him better". In other words, reponsibility rests with those who came first, whose job it was to mind the manners and development of what they produce. Evangeical Christians are your own brats who've gone that extra step...the one that's right there in your own claptrap...in the fine print. They don't think it's enough to be born once and baptized in water as a baby when you had no conscious will one way or the other. You have to admit there's some truth in that. So they decided you should do it again at the age when you're in full conscious possession of your faculties and whatever intellect you have left after the pope got through with you and you WANT THAT BLOOD ALL OVER YOU!...like John "The Washer" didn't go around baptizing babies...but full grown and idiotic adults. The Evangelicals take another leaf from your Catholic book when they holler you have to be baptized in the BLOOD OF JESUS! His blood has to wash down all over you and they mean blood too...though they don't use their own or any in the actual service. But lordy lord do they hanker after the blood of everyone else! You think they're foolish and maybe even ill-mannered...like that Greek kid was. Only you want to slap THEM. The Greek would slap holy poly roly mother church instead...he'd cuff YOU one cause you're the ones who started this stuff without giving a shit, or maybe knowing damn well, what it would do to enough weak-headed people...even goofier than you guys are. Your Evangelicals are just coming home to roost...that's all. And you want to deny them, like maybe.................???? As much as you can't stand them, or they seem like another fifty millon "wrong" Christians...that isn't the way they see it...just like you they have their own peculiar slant on things and if they could have their way they'd kill you too. --------------------- |
