...here I am, replying to your post...with your title intact and this thingie tells me my subject is "too long"....when itīs the same subject on your original post. I have to say in three years of being chased around "Assyria" this is the most original and thought provoking post Iīve read...outside of some gems from Tiglath, Jeff, and a few others discretion bids be silent on...this is the most refreshing and challenging. It beats by miles and leagues anything aina has ever posted...because of one simple thing...it asks a question that can be THOUGHT about! No wonder they got rid of you and rest assured they would have done it just as fast did you call yourself "Assyrian" and been baptized. And I, for one, think you are absolutely correct and put the point in an interesting light. I would paraphrase the great Saud Ibn Saud...first to unite Arabia..."In a political war you can compromise...in a religious war you have to kill everybody" Religion unhinges people and makes them irrational...itīs supposed to. All of them seize upon "good" people who would have been just as good if Yahwe had stayed among the sheephit, as examples of what "they" inspired. Religion is a governmentīs way of getting away with murder with a clear conscience... --------------------- |
