they`re having another of their irrelevant debates about what things MEANS. It`s odd that they`d dismiss figures supported by so many international agencies that have some standing in the world, without a thought..and fall to like scholars (sic) splitting hairs over ONE WORD.

I do not buy that argument. The fact is that the world media is full of garbage. Are we suppose to believe everything published and used it against other Assyrians without confirming and investigating the news? Fact is that those running AssyriaSat cannot wait to attack the ADM and Honorable Kanna. They cannot wait to read something "juicy" and use it to jump and attack.

Furthermore, I do not agree with your definition of the word "Shara'ih" plural of "shariha" in this specific application. Many words in Arabic when alone they mean something; however, when in a sentence, they mean something somehow different. When we say "shara'ih" by itself, it means "slices," however, when used in this specific application of the Iraqi Fundamental Law, i.e. shara'ih al-Mujtama' al-Iraqi, here, it has a deeper meaning, which means "the different fabrics that make the Iraqi society". This is very popular expression in Arabic, it is not used in a negative way. It represents the Turkomans and other groups as well, as the sentence in the Law states.

You do agree, I believe, since this is the fact.
