there is obviously more than one god...as there are clearly millions of people believing in different ones right now and always too. The trouble with raising your finger and joyously proclaimg the existence of One God...which happens to be yours...is that you just offended the rest of the planet..as you feel offended when they discount yours and give their own the supreme and only seat in heaven. That finger and the call, is a call to arms...a cry for revenge against those who refuse to accept "the Lord". Your lord. Because this leads to "Evil"...since your Lord is the epitomy of "Good"...which is why the religious love Evil so much..it`s their ticket to murder...to use extra-legal means which are not "adequate" to the heavy task of fighting Evil. A person breaks no laws by believing in different gods, so the religious fanatics on all sides came up with Evil...you are breaking the Laws of Good...which makes you Evil..be you ever so law-abiding and a good parent and citizen of the world...you are still Evil and therefore an affront to Good.

This all came from the Hebrews through the Romans who, if you`ll remember your Gibson, killed Jesus for daring to propose a mightier god. They made the religion into what it is and they could brook no challengers...and so you have it..endless war and bloodsehd in the name of a god..against those who won`t accept that god as the only one or even the supreme one.

It`s been on huge mistake...not recognizing the obvious..people make up their gods and since people are many and different..they`ve made up many different gods. To not recognize that and accept it has meant untold misery and oceans of blood being shed. And it won`t stop..it just rests. No one who believe in the supremacy or even the total uniqueness of a god..his god..can possibly be tolerant of the beliefs of others. They pretend to while they sharpen their spears...but they can`t live and let believe.

If we would recognize that people are diferent, have different experiences and needs and as a result create their own gods...then we`d at least remove divne dispensation for murder..murder under the guise of protecting our god from challenge and attack from others who feel threatened or who have the same god-sickness. Let murder not have a god to hide behind..let it stand out there on its own, in all its beastiality so we can at least see the people who do the killing for what they are..common butchers and serial killers with no halos anywhere near them. We`ve gone from secret gas chambers and crematoria to an openly avowed "policy" that required the death of 5000 children a month...in only 60 years...what will the next 60 bring...peace? Love? Decency? Or an even harder push to make god "supreme"?

It was a far saner world when there were tons of gods and tolerance as a result...and humor too.
