olke Pete must have really done the town last night...apparently no one can get to his cell phone to tell him to stumble to the nearest Kinkos and SAVE ASSYRIA!

...were raised on concrete...rock solid "facts" they got from their parents priests and a few selected books written by religious propagandists...and everything for them froze long ago.

You could just as easily have raised them to believe the opposite of the dear beliefs they cling to like any kid to his comforter...all you had to do was get to them early enough and they`d be yours for life.

They`ve never bothered to look into anything their villagers told them...they`ve never wondered if just maybe there are other sides to the story...they`ve never been curious to validate anything...just took it all in and memorized and will NEVER FORGET it.

Of course many of us have challenged our beliefs..the things we were TOLD to believe. I too was raised on these myths and fables...but getting out in the world and reading about other points view...you start to wonder...and wonder some more...maybe the world isn`t black or white..maybe there are all sorts of shadings and nuances that wouldn`t be agreeable to those wishing to raise you by "the numbers"...raise you to be an unthinking Patriot or whatever.

And sure enough..the more you look around...not like Aprim does for PROOVES of what he already believes MUST be true...but just look...pick everything up and look under it...and you begin to see a pretty inspiring and mostly depressing and ever so slowly evolving human consciousness that is trying against all odds to stop hating people for not being them.

Not the boys. They`re very happy and contended with the little to nothing they know...because it is THEIRS...and if they give it up...as they fear any examination of it might lead to...you`re asking them to have more faith in themselves than they`ve ever had reason to...certainly since they were taught to repeat that our great ancestors went hiding up in those villages in FEAR till one Jew came whistling along to give them courage.

If you believe such an awful thing...well...you`re going to be a boy and a bad one too, for the rest of your boyish days.
