one boy gets told soemthing by his priest...over in the other village another boy or two are told things by their priests...down in the valley some boys hear an entirely different set of things from their priests...across the way in another country more of our boys get another set of facts from other priests...and in Europe a whole other set of boys is getting a whole other set of historical facts and issues from THEIR priests. Since we know not even priests agree on everything it stands to reason each boy or set of boys has a sligthly different take on "facts" and "history".

In the first place none of them are Assyrian in any meaningful way. The Jews EARNED their right to at least claim Israel...under no stretch of the imagination were they entitled to it...any more than Comanche Indians are entitled to New Mexico...or Mexico either...and neither is Mexico entitled
to New Mexico which was Old Mexico till it too was "stolen"...everybody steals nations...come on. BUT...had the Christians not tortured and murdered and hounded Jews for centuries, there isn`t a Jew from Europe wouldn`t rather have stayed there with the wealth and culture they`d developed and maybe visit the Holy Land once in a while...but MOVE there??? They were forced out at the point of a gun...that simple.

But we Assyrians take uncommon pride in NOT being Assyrians any longer...not-being in the sense that we found a better religion and when we and the Jews roamed free, religion WAS being...it wasn`t Sunday school. The Jews refused final assimilation and risked annihilation instead...we Assyrians jumped fearfully into Christianity and then jumped and jumped and jumped some more...to Islam and then to a whole smorgasboard of sects that make your head spin. On that basis we can hardly claim to have remained TRUE to our roots etc. The ones with a legitimate claim to Betnahrain are the people who stayed there, and not just in villages sending smoke signals to the West..but all those who worked at bringing the entire country into the modern era...it matters little what ethnicity they are..they ARE the people of the land of Ashur and Shamash and Enlil and Ea and Ishtar and Inanna and Haroun al Rashid.

The boys, each with their shitload full of "facts"...all of them contradicting each other...come to the West and start firing these facts at each other and hitting a whole lot of the rest of us too...collatetral damamge to all out heads. And no wonder each of them is telling the other ten to WAKE UP and see the FACTS...and facts this and facts that. Each of them truly believes their idiot priest as much as if these guys knew anything themselves besides spreading propaganda like manure and hoping something comes of it...but the boys BELIEVE and to them a fact isn`t something you ever examine to verify or fine-tune or disprove..and especialñly not if it came form the church, which is god, which is their shot at immortality, bless the damn fools, so not a one of them is gonna argue with their priests too long..cause if they do they`ll be DAMNED for Aunty Christ!!!

Each believes his bundle of facts and keeps YELLING at the rest of them to wake up!!! As his fact was as concrete and closed to question as the "fact" that your hair is on fire..."you ass", so why don`t you bend over and let me piss on your head?

With each side of the football match believing the FACTS prove they won the coin toss...how the hell you ever gonna start the game? Just stand there arguing about what a head is and what`s a tail really look like...till the fans go home, the lights are turned out and from somewhere in the empty stands a lone voice screams out, GOOD NIGHT!
