..I think that`s what the post was about. I think the amount of well-earned garbage we`ve tossed at "Assyrians" for leaping onto Jesus "willingly" has had its effect. More and more people are tying themsleves and their bowels in knots trying to make us Jews to begin with..or make that sick Fuck Abraham a REAL Assyrian..or make yahwe into "almost Ashur". Then there are those now working on a makeover of Jesus so HE too can be Assyrian. It seems a Judo/Christian just can`t bear the turth..that we Assyrians were ages beyond the Hebrews and while Jesus was a nice enough Jew, he had nothing to offer Assyrians who had no use for a Messiah, whereas the Hebrews needed toilet paper even more...but setlled on the first guy who could get them OFF that rock.

Here`s Hanna..at the end of a tortuous and meaningless bit of something all about Jews this and Jews that..that ends with the startling "possibility" that Jesus WAS an Assyrian! Now there`s history for you!!!

..in the first place, there was no "Christian" Creed when Jesus was alive and not for 100 years later were any of his followers called Christians..it was a JEWISH Creed..so let`s keep that straight. Other than that..LOTS of references to light abound in ALL religions..so you want to be carefull what assumptions you make..you also want to be careful not to get caught in too many lies..for as you said..beth is NOT a Christian forum..well, cut it out then. What possible business have you got trying to make Jesus into an Assyrian? The core belief of your religion is that Jesus was the RIGHT Messiah..while Jews say he was a fake and the real one is yet to come..whereas the Assyrians NEVER had a "messiah" complex.

For the Jews to believe in a messiah, sent to save their sorry asses, makes perfect sense..they would have prayed for a PLUMBER if they knew what he did. They NEEDED messiahs, plumbers, cooks, street sweepers, several sanitation workers..they needed EVERYTHING in other words..and all of it already existed in Nineveh..where do you think they GOT their ideas for what was lacking in thesmelves...except for a messiah..that notion was completely foreign to BetNahrain..the Hebrews looked out in all directions and saw the lillies of the field living better than they did..wild goats could at least get AWAY from their turds..but not the Hebrews...the Assyrians looked all around them and it was IMPOSSIBLE to imagine a Heaven anywhere that could compare..whereas the Hebrews..who visted Nineveh as slaves...and remained..looked around them and said, " Now THAT`s what I call Paradise".

What in Ashur`s name would Assyrians DO with a Messiah? What could he offer them....a BETTER place than Nineveh? It wasn`t until Assyrians were FORCED into Judo/Christianity..until their lands were devastated and they HAD nothing BUT sorry asess..like the Hebrews..that they saw the "sense" and the crying NEED for a Messiah...but only some of them..the rest of them went to Islam and created ANOTHER paradise on earth..walk the grounds of the Alhambra in Spain and you KNOW you`re in an Assyrian garden...go to Turlock and go to hell.

I wonder if others have different explanations? or even a better one!
