=> "Blessed" Cross?

Reading last night I came across a reference to the instrument of torture and death used by the Romans to kill untold thousands of criminals in their empire...this wooden post with a crossbar is called "Blessed". Had Jesus been shot to death by a firing squad...would the carbine be called a "Blessed" Rifle?...had he been hanged would it be a "Blessed" Noose? If elecrocuted would is be a "Blessed Electric Chair"...if gassed would is be "Blessed" Cyannide?

In all these cases would people weep before an elecric chair...a gas chamber...a gun...a rope`s end...if stabbed would it be a "Blessed" knife?

Would people hang tiny gold guns, knives, swords, capsules, electirc chairs, a nooses...round their children`s neck?

What kind of religion blesses an instrument of death and torture? Who gets a rapt look in their eye when staring at a guillotine...an executioner`s axe?

Is a noose "Blessed" to the person about to be hanged? Did Jesus find the cross "Blessed"...did he smile lovingly at his own death?

Of course not. The people who find the cross something to bless and revere and remind their children of are the ones who gained the advantage by his murder..his devoted followers eager for him to be killed..or no presents for them.

This can`t be healthy..and look at them..praying in thanksgiving that they attacked an innocent country...turning out at state fairs to eat a hot dog and watch their "Blessed" instruments of death and torture on parade...children with models of the bombers that drop bombs on innocent civillians...in time you lose all distinction all ability to discriminate between those times when your guns and bombs save you..and the times when they bring you goodies, which also "save" you.

We aren`t sorry we`re killing thousands of innocent people...we`re sorry that any of the people killing them have also died. This is not wise...it is not healthy..the rest of the world takes note...so do the gods.
