I'm sorry for assuming you understood my post. It wasn't about self-sacrifice at all. You asked what was unique to Christianity. The point of my post, and the Aramaic scriptural quote, was that Christianity is the only religion in which God loves his creation so much that he sacrificed himself for us. No other religion has this concept. That is what is unique to Christianity. If you have a parallel in another religion, I'd like to hear it. What I'm NOT interested in is whether you believe this core belief to Christianity is reasonable or not. I already know you don't - otherwise you would be a Christian. If you are unable to find another religion in which the worshipped deity sacrifices himself for the same of his creation, then I would have answered your challenge satisfactorily....that is what makes Christianity unique among all the world's religions. -Paul --------------------- |
