JUDGE: Unless your office objects, Mr. Tiglath is it?, the charges against this defendant are going to be dropped.

TIGLATH: Yes, your Honor, as the assistant District Attorney I would like to offer additional evidence that my colleague, Mr. Parhad, failed to present.

JUDGE: What is your evidence, Mr. Tiglath?

TIGLATH: Well, your honor, a group of African-American youths were convicted last year of burglarizing a local grocery store.

JUDGE: Mr. Tiglath, what does that have to do with this rape case?

TIGLATH: Well, your Honor, since everyone knows that 2 + 2 is equal to 4, then Mr. Jones is guilty of this crime. You don't seriously think that 2 + 2 is equal to 5, do you?

JUDGE: Mr. Tiglath, do you have ANY EVIDENCE that Mr. Jones is in any way involved in this alleged rape?

TIGLATH: Not exactly, your Honor. But what other reason would those youths have had to rob that grocery store other than to provide moral support to Mr. Jones in this act?

JUDGE: Baliff....

BALIFF: I know....
