...didn`t Rome turn Christian around 325 AD? And didn`t Islam come to BetNahrain around 640AD? What was going on in BetNahrain for those 300 years between the Roman Christians and the Arab Muslims?

Never mind Abgar, that`s a fairy tale...and skip all the Jews coming to villages where our ancestors were quaking in fear...sheesh!!!

What really happened probably is that the Byzantines stole province after province...in their wars with the Sassanids I mean. And when they took a territory and the people in it...do you suppose they left them stay HEATHEN Assyrians? Hell they even persecuted the CHRISTIANS who wouldn`t toe their line...reminiscent of much later when Christian peasants ran with their families and livestock into the Ottoman lands because they could live in peace under Islam away from the rapacious and infighting priests. The Christians had greater freedom under everyone BUT other Christians..as the Romans killed more Christians after turning Christian themselves than the pagan Romans EVER did.

If the Byzantines were true to the word they gave to the language they were more than likely flaying alive, burning at the stake, stealing the children of whatever Assyrians remained who were true to Ashur,..and I have NO doubt that our Christian turncoats of back then were helping the Romans out..as they`re helping the Americans now against their own people..who they probably hated just as much back then then for being "wrong". And they were no doubt hated right back for being the Levies of their day and turning on their own over a Jew religion and the chance to kiss Rome`s ass.

I mean the Byzantines killed ALL JEWS who wouldn`t convert and Jews were of the SAME BOOK. What would they do to Ashur`s people?

It was into this mess that the Arab armies came bringing a simple new religion that didn`t ask people to eat shit till they died so they could qualify for heaven. They must have seized upon it and the chance to get back in the saddle and drive the Romans out..Christ and all...back to Constantinople..and that`s when Christianity became the minority and Islam the majority and of COURSE the new Muslim Assyrians hated the guts of their own people who`d converted away from Ashur FIRST..for those goodies and most likely helped the Romans ferrest out pockets of the detested heathens who refused Yahwe`s son as their new and improved god...

Without the encouragement of Islam they never could have found the means to avoid being forcibly converted or turned in by their Christian brothers to the Romans..and we know what they did with pagans, about what they did to heretic Christians..killed them.

Thanks to Islam a remnant of the Assyrians came roaring back and saved classical art and science as well as that of the modern age while the Christians, true to form, were burning Giordano Bruno..as well as any number of old and nubile young women and harrassing Galilleo...for which they just apologized 500 years too late...how`s that for being murderously infallible..I mean when you can get away with murder...literally.

Of COURSE Assyrians became Christians and Muslisms and of COURSE they hated each other`s guts for it.
