...well wahhdaya know...them Romans made Paul go East.

In times of severe stress..people are apt to reaffirm their religious zealotry and devotion..witness the Extremist Christians in the United States..brought on by a woman`s loosened bar...of all things. These people began unravelling adn coming up God`s asshole at us at about the same time women began liberating themselves from domination by that absurd sheepshit god and his "non-fluid" morality.

The Roman`s had the same effect on the Hebrews..down to building nude baths and putting statues of their gods in the great Temple, which drove THEM apeshit...and, for the record, there was nothing great about it...except it didn`t fall over on its own...that`s the sort of stuff that passed for MIRACULOUS to them people.

The Romans`s it was who brought in their wake fervent prayers for a Deliverer...come get us OUT of here...this was more the case the more the Romans oppressed them. Out of their despair the Hebrews, Paul`s parents among them..cast about for the nearest thing to a Messiah they could slaughter...you know..so he could sacrifice himself for them..as he was being killed anyway..might as well.

Now that I know Paul is a Jew and not a bastard Assyrian...I think my original point still stands..the Romans oppressed and killed Jews enough to get them to RUN into the arms of Jesus, whom they were PRAYING for...ho-hum.

Then they killed everybody else into him.

The Jews who adopted Christianity WANTED a Messiah badly, to save them from Rome...or anybody at all...it just happened to be the Romans who convinced them to make Jesus the one..though most didn`t buy it. Of COURSE Paul ran to Jesus...that was his way out of the earth..or at least away from the Romans...but no one else EVER willingly chose that nonsense....

...give us a break...self-sacrifice belongs to YOU?
