..this whining attitude...the year Ashurbanipal was installed I was asked to address the San Jose Assyrian Club..that was while Jackie Bejan was still working the street corners in Modesto. So I go there..they all gather round respectful like..and I tell them the whole three year history...when I`m through there are several long faces and one sourpuss speaks up for them all and says.."How could you waste money like this while our sisters are lost in Jordan"? I didn`t even KNOW she had a sister lost anywhwre..if I had I would have helped her find her..but it turns out this is their classic response any time you wan to BUILD something or create something new...each time they bring up their LOSSES..their CRUCIFIXIONS..their LOWLY status in the world, their DASHED and TRAMPLED hopes and rights and expectations..they are one big SOB story who will never allow you to begin to dig out from under all these disasters that I now know they LOVE! There`s no way in the world they want to do anything BUT mourn and wail..and of course GET reasons, even if they have to instigate or manufacture them..reasons to mourn and wail. Nothing scares them so much as having little to complain about..nothing. Because they`ve made being "Assyrian" into one LONG COMPLAINT..a giant disappointment they carry like a Christmas tree... These people will NOT let you grow and expand outward..that`s the reason they discourage the younger ones..unless they too are morbid and wedded to failure...a failure they can blame on Islam..or anyone else that comes in handy...to these people a stumble is a CRASH..one you must NOT try to rise from..and god help you if you strive and succeed anywhere..for by doing so you will have attacked THEM..and personally too..for how COULD you mock all the good reasons they give each other and the world and their children to remain there flat on their backs...DEVASTATED by 897 AD!!! --------------------- |
