OK, Assyrians did wipe out a Kurdish village, but shouldn't we first ask why?

We may find things that we don't like in our histroy where we committed acts against others or vise versa but we should bring them on now only when they serve our case - period.

I don't have a problem with any radical views however, the intentions of such views must be examined first and the real issue behind any productive discussion or argument is whether they would serve our nation's best ineterst or not.
