I simply cannot imagine any other artist in any field willing to forego a second in a row award that is the highest in his or her field..people have killed for the chance to get ONE...but to get TWO...in THIS category and at a time like this?

Luis Ranier, the Viennese actress was the only person to win back to back to Oscars..but THIS guy? What a personal triumph..what a poke in the tush for Bush...what an honor. Who has any doubt that he`d win it..and imagine THAT acceptance speech!...Imagine the hosue coming unglued!

And he passes it all up for a small and very outside chance that he`ll get to do what her needs to do disqualify his film???

The Grairs will say it`s a cynnical ploy to make even MORE money from the fame..bull...that would be even more true when he wins his second Oscar in a row..but Grairs really haven`t much to say, poor dears..so let them.

Whatever else he`s done..whatever you want to say about the man and not the filmaker..this has got to be an act of whatever it is that will never be duplicated...who could have imagined it happening ONCE!
