A good example of Racism hiding behind Jesus occured in San Jose when the Mexican American community commissioned a sculpture of the Mexican snake god Quetzacuotal....Robert Graham...a half Mexican sculptor made a rather interesting monumental sculpture of a coiled snake, had it cast in concrete and it was to be installed in downtown San Jose. Christian Bigots InterNational accused the city of allowing and even financing religious symbols...something they've been forecd to stop doing where Christian creche's and baby Jesus is concerned. Naturally Christian Bigots International is made up of your usual pious scum, Racists, Sexists and bible thumping Hypocrites for Yahwe...they thought they had a good case and could take a jab at the Mexicans who come to America "illegally" to make sure America can function at all... They did till a Mexican pointed out that the "religion" of the snake god is no longer practised anywhere on earth...that the sculpture has shifted into the cultural and historical realm...and the Christian Bigots had to eat shit to live another day. One can only hope, before they blow the planet up and kill us all, that the day will quickly come when their Jesus will be relegated to a historical icon..a dim reminder when a good man was used for lots of bad reasons. Then they can put up plastic saints anywhere they want to. --------------------- |
