She's a real winner, I wish she was my mommy... Bottom line is that there are "necessary evils" that must be faced in this world. You would say going to war is a "necessary evil" and I would say legal abortions are a "necessary evil." I will be the first to go for the illegality of abortion if the following conditions are met: Education quality is improved substantially to give poor children a stake in the world Parents are given stay at home stipends that allow one parent to be designated primary caregiver as long as there is a child in the household under 18 years of age The minimum wage is raised to a liveable wage Free and total healthcare is available to every citizen regardless of their income bracket All children currently up for adoption are found homes and the turn around time on adoptions is dramatically decreased to less than 6 months (this especially for children that are not babies or toddlers). Compulsory sex education in every nook and cranny of this country from 5th to 8th grade with some refreshers in the 9-12 grades. These are things off the top of my head that I could think of that brought together would make me reconsider... Until then, you're beating on a closed door. Q --------------------- |
