it's the old tactic they used so well against the Palestinians...kick the shit out of them, then back off for "talks"...usually about how they were going to kick the shit out of them some more if they kept on protesting getting the shit kicked out of them the first time...so, would they see reason and and stop fighting about getting the shit kicked out of them...or did they want to be stubborn and get the shit kicked out of them some more...it takes a good solid Amrican education to say this sounds about right to you.
