Paul Younan wrote: >A mob of former Zoroastrians attacking a fire temple is not what Dean and I were asking for. We want an example of forced conversions by the Church of the East. It's very simple - did the Church of the East ever force anyone to become a Christian. If so, give us names, places and dates. You have 2,000 years of history of the Church of the East and plenty of nations across the entire Asian continent to choose from. ....Paul reaad between the lines. When a Christian missionary writes about his version of history he naturally leaves out uncomfortable parts that may make him ashamed. But it clearly states that attacking a fire temple didn't just mean walking up to the temple wall and giving it a kick and then returning home satisfied. Attacking means attacking with weapons and death and carnage and blood and Psalm 137:8-9. Claiming that attacking a fire temple doesn't amount to armed destruction, vilence and most probably death is as ridiculous as Aprim claiming that when Agha patrous "wiped out" Simko's villahe of Konashry in 1918 that what he was really doing was polishing Simko's floors and putting a welcoming mint on his pillow for when he returned. And of course we do note how Moffett tries to shift the blame onto the Zoroastrian converts to explain away his religon's little "indiscretion." The same tactic you just used Paul. --------------------- |
