Hi Jeff, I think you are seeing the true sentiment. I hope you aren't surprised by the lack of sectarianism in Iraq... It's what made/makes it so special. And it's all incidental to the fact that you had so many different people from various ethnic/religious/whatever groups all living in the same place. Nothing beats meeting a young Iraqi Shi'a in Lebanon and him busting out singing Sargon Gabriel's "Shqila Parzoona" while we were taking a road trip. Where the hell did he learn it? Well, the fellas all used to cruise the streets and blast their respective music and he heard it so many times from the Assyrian guys' cars that now it was etched in his memory... yasqa al zomeh...
