Muslims kidnapped Muslim girls, too - and this is still practices by certain Kurdish tribes as a cultural expression. Many wives are "abducted." Qinno's fate (whatever it was, Yosip never was able to find out) may have had nothing to do with the decision her parents made on the invitation to recite the creed.
