>...Now since 2 plus 2 is equal to 4 one can conclude that the attack on Zoroastrian fire temples adn the DESTRUCTION of RELIGIOUS PEACE can only mean that the CofE members were attempting to coerce Zoroastrians into their church. Khizma, that's the most RIDICULOUS thing I've EVER read. One Sept. 11, 2001 our parish here in Chicago, Mar Yukhanan (Qasha Qlutz's church) was firebombed and nearly burned to the ground by a bunch of fanatical hotheads who thought we had attacked them. Were they trying to "forcefully convert" us into the American churches? C'MON Khizma, this is the EXACT thing that plagued your debate with Fred Aprim. These conclusions that you reach are totally unsubstantiated. There are many reasons why someone may have attacked a fire temple, and NOT wanted to "convert" them. Do you realize that converting from the state religion (Zoroastrianism) in Persia was a crime punishable by DEATH? Much the same way Islam, today, punishes converts with death. Could it be that those recent converts were being harassed by the Magians and being threatened with death, that they decided to strike back?\ C'MON. Do you have any examples of FORCED CONVERSIONS? -Paul --------------------- |
