>Where's Freud when you need him? x Somewhere smoking a cigar probably ;) >I always thought it was refering to a male way of bragging about his ....cough...cough....his "assets." The modern equivalent of saying I'm half African.....my lower half. >Anyway that may explain how he was a third man and TWO THIRDS God. x Thanks for sharing that insight! You may be kidding but I kind of find that intriguing that Gilgamesh had to be part human possibly so he could still be a sexual being... wherease Greek God were horny and perverse little devils in full godhood... and most other Gods have no sexual desire/activity to them even though for some it is important that they have male gender... not to mention that Jesus HAD to be celibate or his mother had to be a virgin to be holy. x Shakespeare was wrong... There are more things in man can dream of in his philosophy, Tiglath / Than are in heavan and earth :) >Boys will be boys....we have a testosterone problem.....and thank Ashur our ancestors chose to have a woman pass on the central message from the Epic of Gilgamesh through the mouth of beautiful and wise Siduri. x I think religion has made a big mistake by taking women out of the God equation... it kind of takes the best part of a mythology out of it and my personal opinion is that then it becomes disfunctional... but what do I know ;) x Shushan --------------------- |
