I don't take offense at what Paul said just because I want to appease Muslims, though. I take offense at ANY religious intolerance. There are wonderful people in this world who happen to be Muslim - how can he not see that? Paul, Christianity practiced by the people who pray for war is a sham. It's the worship of war and power.... Though there are moments of hostility toward non-believers in the Old Testament, I don't think that Christianity is the religion of war - or maybe it is, and some people just aren't getting it right. Basically, I don't really care who or what anyone worships as long as it doesn't end up promoting another person's unwilling death (I say unwilling because maybe sacrificial persons really wanted to be sacrificed in some religious ceremonies). If someone wants to worship God, that's fine with me. There are Christians in the world who are quite wonderful people. However, there are Christians who promote war. To those I say: don't expect everyone else in the world to like or accept it when crimes are committed against them in the name of the supposed God of peace, and don't demand that those crimes be overlooked and go unpunished. --------------------- |
